This planning-based project required Arora to apply the Highway Capacity Manual and Synchro analyses to various improvement alternatives at an existing signalized intersection. These tools were used to establish available capacity and level of service designations for the alternative assessment portion of the project. A roundabout alternative was also developed and its short and long-term operational characteristics were identified using the RODEL software program.
