Arora, as a prime consultant was responsible for preliminary engineering through completion of construction of this complex interchange project that included the replacement of two bridges, NJ Rt. 54 over NJ Transit and Hospitality Creek and Route 322 over Cape May Branch and the deck and pier replacement of the Route 54 over Route 322 structure. Arora’s performed surveying, developing conceptual alternative roadway alignments and structure types, roadway design, geotechnical, structural, electrical, traffic engineering, ROW right-of-way and access plans, drainage and stormwater management design, floodplain delineation, utility and railroad coordination, public outreach, and NEPA documentation and environmental permits. Arora prepared a soil exploration and lab testing program and prepared a contract for advertising for the soil boring contractor. Arora executed the field inspection and prepared soil boring logs through a drilling contract. Arora tabulated the results of the soil borings and prepared a Geotechnical Recommendation Report for the project. During construction, Arora provided public outreach, technical assistance to the Resident Engineer, responded to RFIs, reviewed contractor submittals, and prepared change of plans and as-builts. All work was performed within the allocated budgets and schedule.
