Route 9 Reconstruction Project

Arora and Associates, P.C. was responsible for preparation of Highway Occupancy Permits, developing an approved traffic control plan, coordination MPT with field crews and work zone safety training following the procedures outlined in the “Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices” (MUTCD) and the NJDOT current WORK ZONE SAFETY SET-UP Guide, and the overall planning and coordination of MPT for the survey tasks on this project. This complex project involved high traffic volumes. Coordinated the acquisition of aerial mapping and established Primary and secondary project Control including horizontal and vertical control network in NAD83 and NAVD88 datums. Work included detailed photogrammetry, aerial mapping, Topographic Survey, Baseline Survey, Roadway Profiles and Cross-sections for Highways, stream cross-sections, wetlands locations, utility survey, Terrestrial Based Laser Scanning of intersections and preparation of and editing existing Base Mapping. Performed Property Survey for ROW Mapping and establish existing right-of-way mapping and property lines for many parcels. Re-established existing right-of-way and property lines for right-of-way mapping. Performed base line survey and re-established existing base lines and prepared geometry calculations for proposed base lines. Established existing baseline data for final base maps. Also responsible for preparing right-of-way plans, deed for ROW parcel acquisitions, documents and descriptions in accordance with the Map Filing Law (Recordation Act). This required preparing ROW Maps including General Property Parcel Maps (GPPM), Entire Tract Maps (ETM), and Individual Parcel Maps (IPM) with Parcel Descriptions. All ROW work was performed in accordance with the NJ Map Filing Law for ROW Mapping for submission to NJDOT, the NJDOT Right of way Engineering Manual, NJDOT Survey Manual & Standard Article 44 and Standard Article 51 and NJDOT Procedures Manual.
