Land Development

Some of our recent Land Development work includes the following:

BAPS, NE, Edison, NJ

The project involved the construction of a 328-space parking expansion for a Hindu temple. Arora prepared a boundary and topographic survey. We designed the parking layout, signing and striping, grading, stormwater management facility, landscaping, lighting, and SESC for the project. We assisted the temple's representatives to obtain local and county approvals and approvals for the pipeline companies whose transmission lines run though the site. When completed the project will provide a safe, paved parking area for the congregation and visitors.

Gurudwara Sikh Saba, Lawrenceville, NJ

Arora provided surveying and engineering services to Sikh Saba of NJ for the construction of their 20,000 s.f. Sikh temple on a 13-acre site. Arora prepared a boundary and topographic survey, conducted soil testing, designed the site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management facilities; sanitary sewer, water and utility connections, lighting, landscaping and soil erosion and sediment controls. We obtained all approvals for the project, including a use variance from municipal, county and state agencies. When completed, the temple will serve as a gathering place and house of worship for the Sikh community in Mercer County.

Diocese of Trenton, NJ

Arora prepared a subdivision plan and conceptual site plans for a project that the Diocese was undertaking in Burlington County, NJ. We prepared the topographic and boundary surveys and located wetlands limits on the property. We designed the lot layout to meet the zoning requirements and prepared conceptual layouts to show that development of the subdivided lots was feasible.

St. Marks Lutheran Church, Hamilton, NJ

Arora prepared a site plan, lighting plan and topographic survey for additions to the existing church and helped church members present the project to the Planning Board.

Lawrenceville Office Building, Mercer County, NJ

Arora provided all surveying and engineering services for the design and construction of a 15,600 s.f., two-story office building. We prepared topographic and property surveys, delineated wetlands and floodplain, designed the building and site, obtained permits and approvals, provided construction stake-out, and inspected and managed construction. Our innovative elevated building design permitted the preservation of natural areas on the site.

U.S. Postal Service, Hamilton, NJ

Arora designed the new entrance driveway and employee parking lot expansion at the Trenton P&DC. We prepared a topographic survey; designed the project including layout, grading, drainage and SESC; and inspected the construction. The new entrance driveway eliminated a high accident intersection. After the Trenton P&DC was contaminated with anthrax in the fall of 2001, Arora engineered a temporary post office for Hamilton to be used until the Trenton P&DC was decontaminated and returned to normal operation.

Winding Brook Estates, Hopewell, NJ

Arora provided the surveying and engineering services for the subdivision of a 43-acre property into 14 single family lots. Our services included aerial topographic, boundary and wetlands location surveys; floodplain delineation; groundwater testing; soil testing for individual sewage disposal systems; site engineering including roadways, grading, drainage, stormwater management, SESC, traffic analysis, community impact analysis and environmental assessment; presenting the project to municipal and county planning boards; and obtaining permits.
