Geographical Information Systems Projects

Following are some project examples illustrating Arora's GIS Capabilities:

Department of Public Safety - Camden County, NJ

Arora provided Enhanced 9-1-1 GIS data development for the implementation of dispatching and incident mapping software in the Camden County 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) center. We were contracted to provide direction correct street centerline data with street name and address ranges for the county. The data was developed to meet the requirements of the dispatching software. A combination of tax parcel data and an existing county 9-1-1-address database were used to populate the street centerlines with accurate names and address ranges. In addition to the street centerline data, we developed an Emergency Response Zone polygon layer to show the individual response areas in Camden County.

Hayes Large Architects LLP - Harrisburg, PA

Hayes Large Architects, a firm providing design services for school districts in Pennsylvania, contracted Arora to develop address geocoding to map out various school districts' student populations. Student populations for the previous five years were mapped out along with current housing developments and future subdivisions. By plotting the home addresses of the student population and generating large presentation maps, redistricting analysis, busing and future building needs evaluations, and community involvement are all facilitated.
