Award Winners Upendra Karna and Harry Capers
Arora and Associates, PC is proud to announce that two of our senior engineers are being recognized for their achievements.
Mr. Upendra Karna, Arora's Geotechnical Department Manager, will receive the George Stout Award from the South Jersey Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers at their Annual Awards Luncheon on May 9, 2008.
Mr. Harry Capers, Arora's Corporate Bridge Engineer, will receive the Outstanding Professional Engineer Award from NJ Society of Professional Engineers at their June 12, 2008 Annual Awards and Installation Reception.

Arora Selected by NCHRP for Domestic Scan
Arora and Associates, PC has been selected by NCHRP as the Research Agency for the US Domestic Scan Program. Harry A. Capers, Jr, PE, Arora's Corporate Bridge Engineer, is the Principal Investigator. Detailed information on the scan program is on the NCHRP website.
Chesterfield Sykesville Road Bridge Receives Award
Arora's Chesterfield-Sykesville Road Bridge replacement project will receive a Distinguished Award at the American Consulting Engineer's Council of NJ award banquet in March 2008. This NJDOT project was recognized for successfully marrying modern design with historical features. Wood cladding, tinted exposed-aggregate concrete and cast iron railings mimic the old structure. Signs and interpretive displays publicize the history of the structure and its environs.
